That is the current state of this project

Here we can see how i attach the parts to the cnc table , is a 20mm phenolic board. I start to drill 2,5mm holes that belong to the parts then i drill 2mm holes in to the phenolic to screw the wood bolts, that way after cut the perimeter of parts they stay attached to de table.

All the parts machined till now…

Hi, finally the frame is completed . Some tweaks on the bearing outside support have to be made, to do it i made a plastic jig and machine one at a time… it works fine.

With the small parts i did almost the same but by option.. i rough cut them then i trim the outside on the jig this time three at a time

Some updates on the build

After some break downs on the cnc hardware, air compressor, wireless keyboard and the air oil assist “mist”. Finally had time to give a big improvement on the production and trimming of the larger pieces.

MITRA FPV Amphibious traked vehicle (1)

It is a long time since the local track as closed and because of that also my Rc activity.
In the mean time had been drawing a new FPV vehicle capable of running while rains and even capable of crossing puddles.
Early had experience a long runs on foot to get my previous vehicle when he overturned, with this design no need for that because run both sides.
The electronics are housed inside aluminium tubes and only the antennas are out of it.
The project not yet finished still remains draw the dome for the camera.

DJI F450 NAZA M V2 First flight test

This are the first flight test with DJI F450 NAZA M V2. Next is time for FPV.

Defender D90

All the chassis is home made in iron inspired and measured from the mechanical D90 book. We used an CNC to cut supports in aluminium.

This design was made by Artur Aires and he took another approach to the “standard” ones that can be found. the objective was to have a good light / robust ratio and a good center of mass.

Quadcopters never inspire me… but when they added FPV (first person view) system on it everything changes… i just can´t resist to that combination. 250 size is the most popular race class so… race is my game 🙂 I present you the project for my frame… and a start for a new CNC adventure
